Power cables at offshore wind farms require pull-ins into the wind turbines and offshore high-voltage substation. This can involve pull-ins through J-tubes or within monopiles dependent upon design of the wind turbine. In some cases, cable protection systems are installed to protect the cables near the J-tube bellmouths. In most cases the cables linked to and within the wind farm require burial based upon burial assessments and route alignment done prior to the burial operations. The burial is done to protect the cables against potential damage that can be done by dropped objects, dropped anchors and fishing activity.
